FDIC issues August CRA evaluation list
August 14, 2026
On August 5, the FDIC issued its monthly list of nonmember banks recently evaluated for compliance with the CRA. The CRA requires the FDIC to assess a bank’s record of meeting the credit needs of its entire community, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, consistent with safe and sound operations. The list covers evaluation ratings that the FDIC assigned to institutions in May 2026. Of the banks examined, 36 received a “Satisfactory” rating and four received a “Needs to Improve” rating. No institution received an “Outstanding” or “Substantial Noncompliance” rating.
