White House nominates Brian Johnson for CFPB director

On June 10, the White House announced that it had submitted to the U.S. Senate the nomination of Brian Johnson, who previously served as the CFPB’s deputy director, to be director of the CFPB for a term of five years. As previously covered by InfoBytes, the White House, in November 2025, had nominated Stuart Levenbach to serve in the role.
