On November 14, Nasdaq announced that its Board of Directors named Adena Friedman President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2017. Friedman also will join the Nasdaq Board of Directors at the same time. Friedman, currently serving as Nasdaq’s chief operating officer, will replace Bob Greifeld who is stepping down after 14 years as CEO. Greitfeld is slated to become Chairman of Nasdaq’s Board.
