OCC releases CRA performance evaluations for 23 national banks and federal savings associations

On September 1, the OCC released its CRA performance evaluations for 23 national banks, federal savings associations, and insured federal branches of foreign banks, assessing how well these institutions met the credit needs of their communities, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. The evaluations, which became public from August 1 through August 31, assigned ratings of “outstanding,” “satisfactory,” “needs to improve,” or “substantial noncompliance.” Of the institutions evaluated, seven received outstanding ratings, while 16 were rated as satisfactory. None received a needs to improve or substantial noncompliance rating for this period.
