NCUA places Kansas City federal credit union into conservatorship

On July 10, the NCUA placed a federal credit union headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, into conservatorship, citing alleged unsafe and unsound practices at the credit union. As of the filing of the credit union’s most recent call report, the agency noted that the credit union reported $2.63 million in assets. The NCUA stated that member services would continue uninterrupted at the credit union’s primary office while the agency worked to resolve the issues affecting its operations. The agency also noted that member deposits at the credit union remain protected by the NCUA’s Share Insurance Fund.
