On October 31, the NMLS announced that mortgage companies could access the XML upload schema for the upcoming mortgage call report form, version 7 (MCR FV7), which will be required for filings beginning with the first quarter of 2026. The schema, along with field definitions and a sample form, is available on the NMLS Resource Center. The first quarter MCR filing due date will be May 15, 2026.

The announcement noted that, while use of the XML upload schema was optional, companies that planned to submit their quarterly mortgage call report data via XML could begin preparing their systems for MCR FV7. A test submission option will become available in January 2026 for companies wishing to test their XML submissions before the April 1, 2026, implementation date.
