FDIC and Fed release living wills for 15 more banks
October 29, 2025
On October 23, the FDIC and the Fed released the public sections of resolution plans, also known as “living wills,” for 15 banks. These plans, as required by the Dodd-Frank Act, must be submitted periodically by the largest bank holding companies and other financial firms and provide a plan for such financial institution’s rapid and orderly resolution in the event of financial distress or failure.
The FDIC’s database contains public sections of all Title I and insured depository institution resolution plans and informational filings submitted over the years, including those from firms no longer subject to submission requirements or previous rules.
