California’s group of privacy regulators sees two new state members

October 17, 2025

On October 8, the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) announced that Minnesota and New Hampshire both joined the Consortium of Privacy Regulators following Minnesota’s enactment of its Consumer Data Privacy Act and New Hampshire’s enactment of its Data Privacy Act. As previously covered by InfoBytes, the CPPA in April announced the formation of the Consortium of Privacy Regulators, a bipartisan group designed to enforce privacy laws collaboratively and protect consumers. The consortium now includes ten state privacy regulators, who collaborate to protect consumers’ rights to access, delete and opt out of the sale of personal information.
