On April 15, the CFPB released its annual GAO-IG Act Report detailing the status of audit recommendations from both the GAO and the OIG. The report highlighted a total of 471 recommendations, covering the period from the CFPB’s inception in July 2010 through December 31, 2024. Currently, 92 percent of the recommendations are closed, and 38 are still open (of which 35 are public).
