On March 14, the FHFA announced that Director William Pulte was sworn in as its fifth director in a ceremony held in Washington, D.C., on March 14. Pulte was appointed by President Trump and will serve a five-year term leading the agency. In his statement, Director Pulte said “[s]afe and sound housing markets are the foundation of American homeownership, so I will be laser-focused on the safety and soundness of our regulated entities as we ensure that the dream of homeownership becomes a reality for as many Americans as possible.”
