FTC appoints three new officials

On February 10, FTC Chairman Andrew N. Ferguson announced the appointments of three individuals. Lucas Croslow was appointed General Counsel of the FTC. Croslow was previously the Solicitor General of Virginia, where he litigated cases against the Biden Administration and worked on legal matters involving religious liberties and Second Amendment rights. Daniel Guarnera was appointed as the Director of the Bureau of Competition. Guarnera previously served as chief of the Civil Conduct Task Force at the DOJ’s Antitrust Division, where he was involved in cases against major tech companies. Last, Christopher Mufarrige was appointed the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection. Mufarrige is a consumer protection lawyer who advised on enforcement and regulatory matters at the CFPB during the first Trump administration.
