OCC releases enforcement actions for November 2024

On November 21, the OCC released a list of recent enforcement actions against national banks, federal savings associations, institution-affiliated parties (IAPs, or individuals associated with these entities). The OCC issued two formal agreements against banks for unsafe or unsound practices, one cease and desist order against a Texas bank for unsafe and unsound practices related to the BSA/AML, three separate cease and desist orders against subsidiary banks for unsafe and unsound practices related to investment strategies, a personal cease and desist order against a former senior executive of an Iowa bank relating to falsifying borrower information, and an order of prohibition against a former Financial Advisor of a South Dakota bank for obtaining a power of attorney over a customer under false pretenses.
